Past Hawaii AGO Events

Paul Jacobs is shown with members of the AGO Board after his concert on June 13, 2008 at Central Union Church.

Over 700 people attended Paul Jacobs' return engagement for the Hawaii Chapter AGO, performed on the completely refurbished 4-manual Aeolian-Skinner organ of Central Union Church.

Paul Jacobs (left) poses with  two young organ students, Joey Fala and Jordan McCreary at his concert in June 2008. The next day, he took both boys out to lunch to encourage them in their organ studies.

Midsummer Night's Organ Concert, August 2007. This was our biggest concert ever on this series, partly because of the guest appearance of AGO National President, Frederick Swann. Swann generously donated CDs for the cause of the Hawaii Chapter Scholarship Programs. We raised over $5000 for the scholarship program. Shown (L-R) are John Renke (St. Andrew's Cathedral), Margaret Lloyd (Central Union Church), Frederick Swann, John McCreary (St. Andrew's Cathedral), Katherine Crosier (Lutheran Church of Honolulu), Jordan McCreary (Organ Scholar), Joey Fala (Central Union Church) and Nyle Hallman (Central Union Church.)

Katherine Crosier is shown with Dr. Robert Anderson (organ professor retired from Southern Methodist University) and Paul Jacobs in his visit to Hawaii in June 2006.

The Hawaii Chapter AGO Board is shown with Paul Jacobs after one of the most successful organ events in Hawaii AGO history. Over 500 people attended Paul's concert at St. Andrew's Cathedral in June 2006, and many extra chairs had to be set up for the overflow crowd.

An AGO meeting was held at the home of John McCreary where he accompanied the silent movie, "The Hunchback of Notre Dame," on his home theatre pipe organ.

Hawaii Chapter AGO Member, Win Hancock, was honored for his many years of service at Fort DeRussy Chapel.

(L-R) Gloria Moore, Karl Bachman and Katherine Crosier are shown with AGO Regional Councillor Tim Howard (2002).
